SpeedBump Series
Speed bump blockers are low-profile steel units laid directly on the road surface with rubber ramps, or set just 120 mm into it, that rise to block the passage. No deep pit is

An automatic boom barrier is a motor-driven arm on a cabinet that opens and closes a vehicle lane on a command from the control system. Boom barriers organise traffic at the
Learn more
Vehicle barriers are blockers, tire killers, boom barriers and traffic light columns that let vehicles onto a site only when access is granted. A boom barrier organises traffic, while an anti-ram blocker physically stops a vehicle. Unlike bollards, which are installed as a row of separate posts, a plate-type blocker closes the full width of the lane.
How to choose vehicle barriers
- Task. To organise entry to a car park or checkpoint, a boom barrier is enough. To stop a vehicle in a ramming attack, you need an anti-ram blocker.
- Security rating. Cyclope and the M series come in M30, M40 and M50 versions, anti-ram SpeedBump units in M30. Ultra Shallow models passed PAS 68 and IWA 14-1:2013 crash tests with a 7.5 t truck at 48, 64 and 80 km/h.
- Installation depth. SpeedBump is fixed to the road surface with rubber ramps or recessed by 120 mm; Ultra Shallow needs 200 mm. Cyclope M30–M50 units are shallow-mounted.
- Lane width. Boom barriers cover up to 10 m. Plate blockers come in 2000–4000 mm modules, up to 9000 mm in the M series; Cyclope M30–M50 lines are built from 500 mm sections.
- Barrier height. From 80 or 170 mm on tire killer spikes and 350 mm on City-Light Speedbump to 1200 mm on the M50 Road Blocker.
Types in this section
- Anti-ram road blockers — a plate across the full lane: the M series (M30, M40, M50) and Ultra Shallow.
- Cyclope series — sectional M30, M40 and M50 blockers plus the compact City-Light for pedestrian zones.
- SpeedBump series — surface-mounted blockers, including mobile units that need no installation into the road.
- Tire-killers — spikes that puncture tyres when a vehicle passes without permission or in the wrong direction; automatic and mechanical.
- Boom barriers by FAAC, MAGNETIC and TiSO — organise traffic but do not physically stop a vehicle.
- Additional equipment — traffic light columns, including a version with a panel for access control hardware.
Where they are used
Anti-ram models protect entrances to government buildings, banks, stadiums, airports and military sites. Mobile blockers guard access roads during fairs and festivals, spikes protect car parks, filling stations and customs areas, and boom barriers serve courtyards, car parks and company checkpoints.

FAQ
Boom barrier or blocker: which one do I need?
A boom barrier to organise entry; an M30–M50 anti-ram blocker to protect the site against ramming.
Can entry be restricted without excavation?
Yes: SpeedBump is fixed to the road surface with rubber ramps, and mobile versions are simply placed on the pavement.
How much do vehicle barriers cost?
