Semi-automatic bollards

Semi-automatic bollards are retractable posts that are raised and lowered by hand, with no electric drive and no cabling. They suit entrances that need a movable post where bringing in power is too costly or impossible. Unlike automatic bollards, they are not controlled from a remote: an on-site operator opens the passage.

How to choose semi-automatic bollards

• Lifting mechanism. TiSO RB343-60, -61, -63, -64 are raised by a gas spring, FAAC models by a gas operator. TiSO RB343-01…-06 use a screw drive operated with a battery drill.
• Locking and release. TiSO is locked by hand in the up and down positions. FAAC J200 SA and J275 SA are released with the supplied key; on J275 SA the lock in the low position prevents accidental release.
• Height and diameter. Rise height is 600 mm on FAAC, 600 or 800 mm on TiSO. Diameter is 114–273 mm on TiSO, 200 mm on J200 SA and 275 mm on J275 SA.
• Winter use. TiSO operates from −40 to +60 °C; below −10 °C the optional heating device is required to stop the post freezing in.
• Material. Painted steel (any RAL) or stainless steel: AISI 304 or AISI 316 on TiSO, a separate stainless version on FAAC.

Applications

They are installed in residential courtyards, on private driveways and sites where parking or vehicle access must be restricted and no power is available. The post is operated by on-site staff, so it suits entrances that open a few times a day.
