Semi-automatic bollards

The semi-automatic bollard is raised and lowered manually: the post is fixed in the lower and upper positions and is unlocked with a special key. The lock in the lower position prevents accidental opening.

The main reason to choose semi-automatic is the absence of electricity at the installation site. Such a bollard is installed in areas, courtyards of residential blocks, and entrances where supplying power is expensive or impossible, but a movable post is needed.

What to look for when choosing:

• frequency of use — the mechanism is designed for manual opening several times a day; for intensive traffic, automatic models are taken
• winter operation — the actuator maintains operability in a wide temperature range, and some models are additionally equipped with a heating system to prevent the bollard from freezing to the roadway after snowfall or freezing rain
• additional options — some models have a built-in induction two-channel vehicle detection sensor, and lighting and a sound device are supplied as an option
• post diameter and lift height — determine visibility and usage scenario
• foundation part — installation depth and foundation requirements are given in the model specifications
