A full height turnstile is a 2150–2310 mm tall access control unit with a rotor or wings that closes the passage to full human height: climbing over or crawling under the rotor is practically impossible. It suits perimeters and checkpoints where entry must be physically blocked. Unlike tripod turnstiles and half height models, its design rules out bypassing identification.

How to choose a full height turnstile

  • Rotor type. A Y-type rotor (3 arms, 120°) gives a 650 mm passage on the Sesame-A, an X-type (4 arms, 90°) gives 535 mm.
  • Passage width. Sesame, Bicyclone and GlassGO: 535–650 mm; wicket gates for strollers and bicycles: 700–900 mm; HighWay-G/NG: 1000 mm; Push&Go: up to 1380 mm.
  • Throughput. 20 people/min on most models, 60 people/min on the Push&Go.
  • Mechanism. Electromechanical, servo drive, or fully mechanical on the Push&Go — for sites without stable power.
  • Operating conditions. The Sesame-A runs at −40…+40 °C, the Bicyclone at −40…+45 °C, the GlassGO and HighWay-G/NG at +1…+40 °C. Ingress protection is IP41 to IP54 as standard, up to IP65 on request (Sesame-S, Sesame-S Twin).
  • Power failure mode. Fail Safe opens the passage, Fail Secure locks the rotor. Fail Safe is standard on the Sesame-S and the servo-driven Sesame-L, Fail Secure on the electromechanical Sesame-A.

Where they are used

Full height turnstiles are installed at factory, warehouse and company checkpoints, at stadiums, banks and government offices. The mechanical Push&Go suits parks, swimming pools and open-air markets.

FAQ

How much does a full height turnstile cost?

Each model's price is listed on its page, and we quote the installed cost for your site. It depends on the model, mechanism, number of passages and cabinet finish.

Can a full height turnstile be installed outdoors?

Yes, but only some models have an outdoor version: the Sesame-S and the mechanical Push&Go, with an outdoor option on the Sesame-A Twin and GlassGO. The GlassGO is rated from +1 °C, so we agree conditions per site. For frost, choose the Sesame-A, Bicyclone or Push&Go (from −40 °C).

How do bicycles or strollers get through?

Through a wicket gate: the Bicyclone has one next to the rotor, and the Sesame Gate-W is a separate gate for people with reduced mobility, bicycles and strollers.
