Onyx-TS is the metal-panel version of the Onyx series wicket gate, designed as a matching pair to the tripod turnstiles in the same lineup. The smooth, rounded cabinet lines echo the design of the Onyx tripod turnstiles, so installed together they read as one cohesive setup rather than a mix of unrelated devices.
Rotation instead of pushing.
Just like the glass Onyx-GS, passage here in both directions is achieved not by manually pushing the panel, but through its automatic 90° rotation — driven by the BMDrive® mechanism. The same mechanism locks the panel in the closed position, so a person only needs to authorize and wait for the turn.
Metal instead of glass, where that fits better.
Unlike Onyx-GS, the panel here is made of metal rather than glass — a better fit for sites where impact resistance and durability matter more than a transparent look. The panel size can be increased if the gate will regularly handle trolleys or bulky loads.
Unlocks without power.
In the event of a power failure, the gate automatically unlocks, clearing the passage (fail-safe) — allowing Onyx-TS to also serve as an emergency exit route, with no risk of people being trapped inside.
