Onyx-XS solves a problem common to narrow checkpoints or sites where the floor is already taken up by utilities: instead of a support pedestal, it uses a special bracket that mounts directly to the wall. That makes installation simpler and the turnstile itself more compact and more affordable than a classic tripod on its own stand.

The smooth cabinet curves and angled glass surface keep the series' signature futuristic look — Onyx-XS doesn't feel like a stripped-down variant, but a natural continuation of the design language shared across the rest of the Onyx lineup.
Reliability that isn't sacrificed for its compact size.
Despite its smaller footprint, the mechanism is the same as in the full-size Onyx models: a fully automatic bidirectional servo drive with a sturdy locking system. The hub and arms are made of stainless steel, and the automatic anti-panic system drops the arms when an alarm signal comes in, returning to working position on its own once the alarm ends.
